Copy your map file *.s4m in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Sierra\SWAT 4\Content\Maps
To play your new map just start up Swat4 game and in
the consol type: open <mapname>
exampel : open SP-Hotel_TGZ.s4m

Swat3 map Installation Instructions:
Download and save the ".zip" file to your "missions"
folder located in your SWAT 3 directory.
DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE.

Q: What made Swat games so great ?
Swat games are unique and not like other shooter games
you have to plan with tactic and use your brain more than your gun. SWAT 4 is the best of the hard core serious tactical simulations. They are pretty authentic games and really fun. Swat is a life saving organization and is not only to kill. Swat games have good gameplay it's realistic, exellent weapon sounds and cooperative online multiplayer that made it great. Also the Swat 3 in game multiplayer lobbys many people did love it
Since Sierra do not exist anymore and closed down master-servers for Swat 3 game. You can not longer play Swat3 online. Only Swat 4 multiplayer works ok nowdays.


Q: How do i make Swat 4 game support widescreen resolution 16:9 instead of 4:3 ?
SWAT 4 does not have native widescreen support.

I have not much webspace to host files, but you can instead post your swat mods at our forum. Under Swat games subforum mods. You must host your files your self at a file hoster like Megaupload or Mediafire.

Q: Why did Sierra shut down master-servers for Swat 3 ?
Becuse they closed down thir company do not exist anymore.
Cost-cutting measures were taken because of parent company Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) financial troubles, and because of Sierra’s lack of profitability as a working developer. Impressions Games and the Papyrus Design Group were shut down in the spring of 2004, and about 50 people lost their jobs in those cuts. for morre info see Wiki

Since Sierra shut down master-servers, you will be unable to get internet multiplayer working (connect to any internet server) without applying a community .rez-file patch. Patch is still in heavy development (available on LithFAQ), so you should not reply about failures with online gameplay.


Q: I have some problem to intall old game Police Quest SWAT 1 any tips ?
If you can not run the setup.exe you can use a program called "Abandon Loader" Set the Color to 256 8bit, and resolution to 640x480, Turn Off AA (Anti Aliasing) and AF Once you have installed the game right click the swat icon "C:\SIERRA\SWAT\SIERRAWH.EXE" in Properties under the Compatibility tabb set it to WIN95 That was all run the game and now you can change the color to 32bit or use higher resolution.

Q: My Swat 3 Generation ver in main menu ficker and the mouse disappears ?
Make sure you have installed latest patches for your game and video card drivers. The mouse pointer disappears sometimes, you need move to the bottom of the screen to see it again. You can try to turn off AA (Anti Aliasing) see if it helps. Do not use any nocd cracks.


Q: Will there be another new SWAT game (SWAT5) for the PC ?
I don`t think there will be another one, Accourding to Irrational Employee:
Sadly Irrational Games doesn't own the license to make SWAT games.
Activision-Blizzard probably holds the license at this time.
